The Spanish Carmen Miranda look was created for a Cuervo Tequila
commercial. The costumes
needed to fit multiple sizes and yet still be sexy. The skirts were made
wrap-around to fit many
waist sizes and they would show off the legs with the high split. The tops
tie in the front, which
shows off lots of cleavage. The multi-colored ruffles were the most time
consuming.
The Nutcracker costumes were invented for a Christmas show. The Nutcracker
head was
made soft but sturdy and oversized. It also needed to be able to stay upon
the shoulders when
the actor danced. The body costume was to be normal size while the head
was to be over sized.
The 19th Century corsets were for a Victorian Fool's party. And we needed
to practice corsetry
for men. Both corsets were custom fitted to provide cleavage and shape
over the hips. Hooked
center front and back laced. The skirts were short and drapey in the
front, while long in the
back to cover. The gentleman looked good enough to be hit on, pinched and
ogled.
The SM costume was a leather bodice to provide cleavage. The vinyl
clear skirt with black
binding was different yet intriguing. Add whip, stockings and chastity
belt.
The Viking mascot was for a school mascot. They needed a girl Viking and
it could not be
found. So we ordered a man Viking mascot and transformed him to a her.
Hair braids, and
makeup were added.
Sonic the Hedgehog was built with an inner lining and the outer shape.
Stuffing was
inserted between the lining and outer shell. Custom headpiece was created
the same.
Specialty spats finished off the outfit. Unfortunately the child was shy
and would
face the camera.
Renaissance custom costumes are our specialty. The Renaissance Queen
Elizabeth
costume was made for a horse show competition. The costume needed to be
extremely opulent and workable for riding a horse at show. The
Renaissance Jester
was for a Renaissance Faire Fool's parade. Since we manufacture Fool
Costume, all
that needed done was to down size the patterns. The pieces consist of a
Fool Bodice,
Chemise, Fool Slops, Fool Leggings, and Custom Hat.
